    Lisa Baker,

Lisa Baker was born and raised in St. John's, Newfoundland. A true Newfoundlander, Lisa sees the funny in every situation, good or bad, and her strong east coast accent only serves to add to her already hysterical material. After hearing 'You should be a comedienne' for years, she decided to try it out. She felt so at home on stage that she began performing wherever and whenever, writing down anything that struck her as funny. It's been four years since her first performance and Lisa hasn't looked back.

Lisa had her first child while she was still a teenager-shocking for a Newfoundlander, we know-and she never thought that being a single parent would actually help advance her career but her family is a constant, if not willing, source of material and, regardless of what she implies, there is no inbreeding. Her time as a single mom, amateur comedian, and student-all at the same time-made her realize two things: Ramen noodles CAN be a balanced meal if you toss in some baloney; and the whole experience, while utterly depressing for her, is side-splitting entertainment to everyone else. Her mantra has always been 'Today's misery is tomorrow's punchline!'

Lisa's resume includes several performances at Yuk Yuk's in St. John's, as well as the Newfoundland Screech Comedy Festival. In March 2009, Lisa made it to the finals at the local level of the Great Canadian Laugh-Off, placing third overall, and has since worked with such professionals as Stephen Patterson and Richard Lett. Her edgy style has been keeping audiences on the east coast in stitches and she considers no topic taboo. Lisa has been called the possible love-child of Andrew Dice Clay and Roseanne Barr (there's a lovely visual for you) and has also been hailed as the next Mary Walsh. Although educated, Lisa has always seen her education as a back-up plan and prefers the stage to a desk but is willing to perform on a desk if it will hold her. Be sure to buy tickets to her show at Bailey's Pub March 27 & 28

    Keith Sarnoski,

A rising comedic talent, Keith Sarnoski has made a big splash in a short amount of time on the comedy scene in Alberta. Born and bred in oil town Edmonton, Keith's blue collar background and ambitious nature have propelled him to touring all over Western Canada in just two short years. Driven by visions of grandeur, Keith hopes he actually has the talent to become wildly successful, instead of schizophrenic or delusional like all the losers on reality T.V. shows. Many people wonder where such determination and focus come from, and Keith will not tell us. Most experts on the matter suggest probably from magic rocks or enchanted fossils possibly dug from Drumheller childhood school trips. Whatever the source, the public stands to benefit from Keith's interpretation of working life, relationships, and all the problems in this world as he connects with people of all ages and backgrounds. His optimistic perspective will leave you laughing and thinking, and if you are lucky, laugh-thinking. Be sure to buy tickets to the show at Bailey's Pub April 24 & 25.

    Scott Dumas

After graduating from Carleton University in Ottawa with a degree in Psychology, Scott took the next logical step
that anyone with such a prestigious certificate would do, he pursued a career in life insurance sales. Two years
of commissonless paydays later, he took his sales and financial skills, as well as his knowledge of the human
psyche and got a job as a bank teller and quickly moved up the ladder to become a Financial Service Manager.
It took 7 years before he put two-and-two together and realized that people are screwed up... because of money.
He quit his job and moved to Calgary to pursue something else. He had no idea it would be stand-up comedy.
Within six months he was performing shows for Yuk Yuk's and within a year had performed at all the Yuk Yuk's
clubs in Western Canada. In 1999 Scott entered the Yuk Yuk's Alberta's search for the Funniest New Comic and
made it to the finals. Next Scott showcased at the Just for Laughs Homegrown Comedy Competition in Calgary
in 2001. Scott has also performed at numerous charity fundraiser's and corporate Christmas parties and is a
full-time member of the Western Canada roster...
Just recently, Scott toured through his home province of Ontario for the first time telling his nutty stories from
one end of the 401 to the other. Start looking there on a regular basis. There isn't enough humidity, or garbage
    strikes to keep him away.
Check this out, Scott's fearless attitude and versatility as well as his comfortable presence in front of a camera
landed him a job as the co-host of M-Style, which can be seen on Men T.V., on the digital network. Global,
has raved about the show and has agreed to renew for year 2. Digital baby, Digital.
His overwhelming urge to travel has taken him to six different countries in the last 3 years. Whether it's
watrous, Saskatchewan or Luangphabang, Laos Scott will dazzle you with wacky stories about life on the road.
Be sure to see Scott Dumas live at Bailey's Pub on June 26 & 27.

    Derek Sweet

With dark, insightful comedy that achieves its effect by forcing the audience into self-examination,

self-deprecating humour. In the end everyone ends up pointing a finger at the human race and
    laughing together.
Derek has been interested in comedy since a very young age, performing in comedy sketches,
writing comedy songs, and drawing strip comics like the very popular "City of Zeroes", which was
enjoyed by hundreds of thousands of readers. He was also co-host of the popular video gaming podcast,

    Christophe Davidson

Forget all those other bios where the artist talks to you under the thinly veiled guise of the third
person. We all know it’s really just them talking about how great they are. Poppycock, I say! (I’ve
never said poppycock before.) If anyone is going to talk about how awesome I am, it'll be me. No
bells or whistles. Why? Because bells and whistles aren't really that impressive anymore. Have
    you seen an iPad?!
    But I digress.
I started comedy in Montreal. In 2007, I was invited to the Just For Laughs festival, which is kind of
a big deal. Since then I have taken my silliness to comedy clubs and festivals around the world (US,
UK, Australia, Croatia and even Singapore…cool huh?). This summer, I performed in the Just for
Laughs Homegrown Competition and opened for Brian Posehn. Okay, I’m starting to sound like a
bit of a horn tooter. I can see why people pretend to be someone else when they write these. I can’t
help it. I just gotta be 4 real.
Here are some things other people have said about me:
“Likeable, energetic and engaging” – **** The Age
“Naturally funny. Davidson’s like listening to a funny friend - unforced, charming, warm, relaxed
and secure with a hint of danger.” -The Barefoot Review
“He's got massive social consciousness going on behind the funny. And there is lots of funny.” -RHUM
    “Razor sharp wit.” -Adelaide Advertiser
“Leaves the audience with a lasting impression – and smile on their face.”-Steve Bennett, Chortle
    UK

    Patricia Cochlan

Patricia Cochlan started her humorous career in an effort to relieve the boredom of growing up in the prairies of southern Alberta. After setting the cows' milk sour, she decided to try her hand at entertaining a two-legged audience. Blending country roots with urban sensibility, she'll take you on a trip starting at silly, meandering to quirky, and eventually arriving at somewhere thoroughly twisted.

    Jeff Toth

Jeff Toth’s comedy career began when he caught the attention of a talent agent his first time on stage. No one was more surprised by this than Jeff himself, who had moved to Calgary after a quiet upbringing on a cattle farm in Southern Alberta. Now he has traveled coast to coast sharing his unique perspective with audiences.

Jeff matches his small town charm with big city cynicism making his comedy both biting and earnest. Whether covering social issues, dating, or the workplace he has sharp point of view, which is especially pointed when aimed at himself. twitter handle is @jefftoth.

Kevin began performing straight stand up comedy when the brothers dis-banded and he hasn't looked back. Kevin has appeared on CTV, Global Television, The Comedy Network,CBC, and has appeared in every major city in Canada.

    BIOGRAPHY
The only phrase that comes into my mind is,"WELBY SANTOS. He doesn’t SUCK." My style of stand-up comedy has been influenced by my strict Traditional Filipino Catholic upbringing in a Western society. You don’t have to be Filipino to find me funny. You just have to be intelligent. My sordid little life, racial stereotypes and preconceptions about other cultures are my ammunition. I have an uncompromising style of not telling a joke I don't personally find funny. I have developed a taste for stand-up comedy since my first performance at a comedy club in EDMONTON. Most recent accomplishments being the opening act on the Russell Peters tour. I have also appeared on Halifax Comedy Festival for CBC Television. As well as a featured performance at the Asian Show of the Orange County Comedy Festival. A headlining week at the renowned Comedy Nest in Montreal is also another highlight. My television credits include the CBC Halifax Comedy Festival, and the series finale of ELVIRA Kurt’s ADVENTURES in COMEDY. I am also a regular performer at The Comic Strip in Edmonton. I have toured all across Canada at various clubs and other venues. If you haven't heard of me someday you will.

An often requested emcee and opener, James brings a relaxed, easy going style to the stage.

“Moore, effectively combines laid-back delivery with biting material”- Fast Forward Magazine

With performances all across western Canada & Ontario, Hawaii & Beijing China, James is as entertaining as he is tall.

In 2006 James received his first national exposure and was selected as one of Canada’s top new and emerging comedians, by CBC Radio 1’s “So, You Think You’re Funny?”

2008 & 2011 were big years for James! With two invitations to showcase for the prestigious Montreal Just for Laughs Comedy Festival and as a 2 time finalist in the Great Canadian Laugh-Off.

With 9 consecutive performances, James has appeared annually at the Kootenay Gut Buster in Crawford Bay BC, since its inception in 2005.

Late in 2012, James was cast in his first a made for TV pilot, “The Funnier Side.” Playing the part of an angry 1970’s Nixon era hippie-comic that emerges from a crate into the 21st century, still spitting Nixon jokes! James auditioned and was selected for the part without his knowledge, during a performance at a comedy club. After shooting wrapped, one of the producers remarked that he was their choice for the part because of his “unmistakeable look, commanding voice & funny delivery.”

James has multiple appearances at the YYComedy Festival in Calgary to his credit; including producing & hosting several festival shows.

With a laundry list of successful corporate performances and fund raisers, including: 5 consecutive performances for BOMA Calgary at their annual golf tournament, The United Way of Calgary, Inn from the Cold, Epilepsy Association of Calgary, Southern Alberta Flood Relief, to name a few.

    Katie Westman

Katie Westman fled from the magestic prairies of Alberta after high school to travel the world by herself and learn some things. She quickly learned that she has no real skills and tricked many employers to hire her based solely on "personality". Reaching a crossroads, Katie eventually had to decide whether she was actually going to learn some skills or scrape by on personality forever. She dropped out of nursing school and immersed herself in comedy full time. After developing her own unique, tongue in cheek style of stand up in Vancouver's and Montreal's comedy scenes she moved to Calgary "earning her stripes" as a professional comic on her home turf. She has since toured across Canada and is honoured to have shared the stage with many comedy legends. Audiences find her sweet, sassy, unapologetic and ultimately an all-around good time. To this date she still has no other skills outside of "personality"

Join Jeremy Furlong in his arduous attempt in avoiding reality. This Strathmore Alberta native copes with daily bouts of insecurity and low self-esteem from staggering student loans and the inability to realize his full potential. Able to wow audiences with deeply fried physique and deliciously styled comedy, Jeremy delivers humour in unhealthy portions. Sam Easton

He's not exactly living on Easy Street, but everything's relative. For almost four years, Vancouver standup comic and actor Sam Easton had no fixed address, phone, or e-mail. When the struggling actor's agent needed to get hold of him, she'd have to call all his buddies.

His standup career started with a bang, though. After dropping out of York University, the Vancouver-born and -raised funnyman took the comedy course at Toronto's Humber College, winning the Phil Hartman Comedy Award for best student in 2000. The judge for the competition was Saturday Night Live creator Lorne Michaels and the presenter of the prize was SNL alum Dan Aykroyd. He followed this up with a nomination for the Tim Sims Award, named for the late T.O. comic, that same year.

Whether it's acting or appearing alone behind a mike, Sam Easton is one to watch.

    Chis Griffin

Chris Griffin, having endured over a decade of Family Guy jokes, decided to enter into the world of comedy to reclaim his name.  A relative newcomer to the scene, Griffin was quick to make a splash; he began working the road within months. The early success inspired him to quit his stable job at an academic publishing company and to put his two university degrees to use doing what he knows best, drinking and telling jokes. While the career change wasn’t the best decision for his bank account, Chris has made great strides toward his lifelong goal of becoming a full-blown alcoholic. His jokes will leave you feeling great about your own life decisions and wondering how he hasn’t died of liver failure. Chris’ comedy has the comfort of a tall, cold beer and the edge of a shot of whiskey – and we all know no wrong has ever come from that combination.

Be sure to see Sam & Chris live at Bailey's Pub on November 20 & 21.

Scott pursued a career in life insurance sales. Two years of commission-less paydays later, he took his sales and financial skills, as well as his knowledge of the human psyche and got a job hustling mortgages at Bank of Montreal. It took seven years before he put two-and-two together and didn’t come up with four. He realized that people are screwed up…. because of money. In 1997, he moved to Calgary, quit his job and decided to pursue something else. He had no idea it would be stand-up comedy.
Within six months he was performing shows for a major comedy club chain and within a year had performed all across Canada. He was a finalist in the Alberta’s Search for Funniest New Comic in 1999, and has showcased for the Just For Laughs in 2001, 2004, 2007, and 2010. He has performed for numerous corporate functions, fundraisers and golf tournaments as well as headlined clubs from coast-to-coast. He can also be heard on XM radio talking about gourmet pizza and his mom’s nipples. In his career he has worked with such accomplished comedians as Harland Williams, Tommy Chong, Emo Phillips, Lee Camp, Mike Mcdonald, Judah Friedlander, Ari Shaffir, and Gilbert Gottfried. Most recently Doom performed at the 2014 YYCOMEDY Festival in Calgary as well as the 10th Anniversary show for the prestigious and long running, Comedy Monday Night.

Lisa had her first child while she was still a teenager and she never thought that being a single parent would actually help advance her career but her family is a constant, if not willing, source of material and, regardless of what she implies, there is no inbreeding. Her time as a single mom, amateur comedian, and student-all at the same time-made her realize two things: Ramen noodles CAN be a balanced meal if you toss in some baloney; and the whole experience, while utterly depressing for her, is side-splitting entertainment!

Be sure to See Scott and Lisa Live at Bailey's Pub on on December 4-5.
